Synergiehub – an epicenter for self-empowered culture
The Synergiehub is an open network that invites you to participate in projects for fair economy, grassroots governance, free education and citizen journalism. The projects include activities in the domains of agriculture, housing, health and technology. We strive to co-create a future that embraces Permaculture principles in all aspects of life.
Wherever you are, at home or on the road, you are where you need to, to be involved. We work glocally around the world and from the Décentrale, an old art-nouveau villa that you can come and stay at and make your part-time home.
At the heart of the one-hectare property, an old art-nouveau villa houses up to 16 people and provides workshop rooms, a kitchen and social living space. The surrounding park offers additional shelter in the form of tiny houses, a caravan, tipis and yurts. The mix of park trees, open meadows and forest provide a good opportunity to develop an edible forest garden.
Dear friends and supporters of Décentrale and Synergiehub
Our beautiful Décentrale house and landscape is in need of crucial renovation and restoration if we wish to continue with our current and future projects and therefore we ask your help.
As you maybe already know, in the period from July 30th until August 13th, we have organized a work camp, where 15 volunteers from Mexico, Brazil, Russia and many other European countries will provide their generous assistance. Besides these international volunteers and activists, there will be additional 10 souls who are active either through Synergiehub, Décentrale or other relevant bodies.
The renovation of the second-floor veranda in the Décentrale house is in need of critical renovation as rain is leaking through the roof and the bottom floor beams are rotting because of this. This requires quite an investment to repair and renovate and your contributions would be much appreciated.
We also aim to paint walls on the first and second floor, to protect wooden windows and doors with a new layer of paint, to chop down some trees on the east side of the property, lay the foundations of a herbal garden, set granite stones in seating areas and to do some landscaping to make way for a food forest in the future.
Everybody involved will invest a lot of volunteer hours in this, but some of the planned tasks will only be realized if we have sufficient funds to cover the material, food and other costs.
Your assistance either financially or in the form of volunteering will help us to reach our goals and lay the groundwork for a sustainable culture.
We thank all involved and would love to hear from you.
